THE Western Bulldogs are set to launch an aggressive bid to wipe off their $5 million debt.
"The debt is a historical burden, which holds us back," Chief Executive Campbell Rose said yesterday. "It is an impediment to our ability to further invest in football operations. We need to eradicate the historical weight that is just stopping this club from taking off and becoming the powerhouse we want it to become.
"We need to finish the picture, put the last piece of the jigsaw into place."
