Western Bulldogs Friendly Schools

The Bulldogs Friendly Schools Program (BFS) forms an integral part of our of Community Club strategy through its commitment and support of schools in the western region.  The program communicates the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle in a respectful and inclusive setting, demonstrated through fun and interactive activities that are designed to engage young people from all backgrounds.  Embedded in the program are five core values; Respect, Leadership, Harmony, Teamwork and Fair Play.

The BFS Program has just completed its sixth year and is continuing to strengthen and grow as we reach out to more schools in the west.  In 2012, 60 primary schools and 20 secondary schools participated in the program through a wide range of initiatives.  The program also provided up to 60 Victoria University Pre-Service Teachers with the opportunity to further enhance their professional development through a quality community based partnership.

All Bulldogs Friendly Schools are given the opportunity to receive Western Bulldogs player appearances, Bulldog’s Backyard tickets at Etihad Stadium, invitations to community and leadership events, and plenty of great Western Bulldogs giveaways.

The Western Bulldogs, together with the continued support of its partners Mission Foods and Victoria University, will continue to grow and strengthen its Bulldogs Friendly Schools Program in 2013 and beyond.

For further information of the BFS or to find out how your school can get involved in this great program, please contact Bulldogs Friendly Schools on 1300 GO DOGS (46 36 47) or email: bulldogsfriendlyschools@westernbulldogs.com.au
