Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or out of Etihad Stadium. There are a number of bars located within Etihad Stadium that are open on matchday.

AUTOGRAPHS

Players are generally not available to sign autographs on gameday. Your best chance in securing these autographs is by attending one of the Club’s open training sessions. Visit www.westernbulldogs.com.au for training dates.

CAMERAS

Patrons are permitted to bring in still non-professional cameras for their own personal use at Etihad Stadium.

CHEER SQUAD

On match days, the cheer squad is an audible and visual support for the Western Bulldogs and the players. They provide the team banner as well as being a presence in their red, white and blue attire. DRESS CODE

There are no restrictions placed on dress code in the public sections of Etihad Stadium. Entry into exclusive clubs requires a regulated code of dress. To view individual specifications visit their websites.  

EJ WHITTEN SOCIAL CLUB

The EJ Whitten Social Club is located on Level 1 outside Aisle 16 in the Victory Room and is open for EJ Whitten Social Club members only. Members can enjoy a drink and a meal in our family friendly Club room as current and past Bulldog greats take to the stage for an exclusive question and answer sessions before the game.  

ENTERING THE STADIUM

You are able to walk all around Etihad Stadium both externally and internally. As a result, to gain access you can scan the barcode on the back of your membership card or your paper ticket at any of the 9 gates around Etihad Stadium. 

The Footscray End located at Gate 7 is the best entry gate for Western Bulldogs fans. There is FREE face painting, FREE balloon artistry and the chance to meet and get your photo taken with Sid and Woofer.

ETIHAD STADIUM

Etihad Stadium is a multipurpose stadium primarily used for sporting and entertainment events. Etihad Stadium is located in the Docklands, minutes from the CBD of Melbourne. It is the only football stadium in the Southern Hemisphere with a fully retractable roof.

FINALS

The 2014 AFL Finals series begins on the Friday, 5 September 2014, with the AFL Grand Final being held on the Saturday, 27 September 2014. Venues will be determined by clubs final ladder positions.

The 2014 Toyota AFL Premiership Season fixture is available for download or to view here. The Western Bulldogs play 10 home games at Etihad Stadium and one home game in Cairns.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Food and beverage outlets stocking pies, sandwiches, chips, drinks and sweets can be found at numerous locations in and around Etihad Stadium.

FOOTSCRAY END

The Lockett End of Etihad stadium will be transformed into the Footscray End for Bulldogs Home Games. This will provide Bulldogs’ fans the best opportunity to experience the hysteria of the red, white and blue on gameday.  FREE Bulldogs face painting, balloons and giveaways will contribute to creating this atmosphere.

Head to Gate 7 at Etihad Stadium for the access to the Footscray End.

You can gain access by scanning the barcode on the back of your membership card or your paper ticket at any of the 9 gates around Etihad Stadium.

LADDER

With 18 teams in the AFL, the ladder is split into a top and bottom section. The top eight teams after the final round continue on to play finals. The remaining 10 no longer take part in the season. The ladder will be updated after every round and can be found at www.westernbulldogs.com.au or www.afl.com.au

A Membership Services representative is located at the Mini-Dome opposite Gate 2 on the external concourse and at the Merchandise tent located on the Bourke Street footbridge from Sothern Cross for all Home matches throughout the season.

MOBILITY IMPAIRED ACCESS

Etihad Stadium provides easy access for mobility impaired patrons through elevators, ramps and easily accessed mobility impaired seats and wheelchair bays.
Accessible lifts are located at street level at the Bourke Street and Harbour Esplanade entrances and connect to Etihad Stadium’s external concourse (Level 1).

Mobility impaired bathrooms are located in close proximity to mobility impaired seating bays.

Stairwells are located adjacent to the lift lobbies and ramps are situated throughout all levels.

Access to the car park is only via the lifts or stairs. There is no ramp access. Parking at Etihad Stadium is available via the Bourke Street Extension (Car Parks A & B) or Wurundjeri Way (Car Parks D & E).

ETIHAD STADIUM

Parking is available under Etihad Stadium for a flat rate of $30. Entry to the car park is via Car Park B off the Bourke Street extension or via Car Park D and Car Park E off Wurundjeri Way.

HARBOUR TOWN SHOPPING CENTRE

Parking is available at Harbour Town Shopping Centre for a flat rate of $6. Entry to the car park is off Footscray Road or Docklands Drive.

SOUTHERN CROSS (WILSONS PARKING)

Parking is available at Southern Cross for a flat rate of $15 on match days. This flat rate applies 2 hours before the game and ends 3 hours after the game. Entry to the car park is off Spencer Street.

700 COLLINS STREET (WILSONS PARKING)

Parking is available at 700 Collins Street for a flat rate of $16 on match days. This flat rate applies 4 hours before the game and ends 1 hour after the game. Entry to the car park is via Aurora Lane.

800 BOURKE STREET (WILSONS PARKING)

Parking is available at 800 Bourke Street for a flat rate of $17 on match days. This flat rate applies 3 hours before the game and ends 3 hours after the game.

DIGITAL HARBOUR

Parking is available at Digital Harbour for a flat rate of $18 on match days. This flat rate applies 3 hours before the game and ends 3 hours after the game. Entry to the car park is on the corner of Harbour Esplanade and Dudley Street.

MELBOURNE CONVENTION CENTRE

Parking is available at the Melbourne Convention Centre for a flat rate of $7 after 4pm Monday to Friday and on weekends. Entry to the car park is on the corner of Flinders Street and Siddeley Street.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

TRAIN

Southern Cross is the closest train station to Etihad Stadium. It is approximately a 4 minute walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge.

TRAM

Trams run to Etihad Stadium from La Trobe Street and Harbour Esplanade. Trams also stop in the CBD on Spencer Street, Bourke Street and Collins Street which are all a short walk to Etihad Stadium.

BUS

The bus terminal is located at Southern Cross and services airport transfers as well as route across country Victoria.

ROOF POLICY

For AFL matches, the AFL determines if it requires the roof to be open or closed.  AFL representatives direct the stadium of its decision prior to gate opening time, which is two hours before an event. The roof takes eight minutes to open or close.

SCOREBOARD

The scoreboard at each end of the stadium will keep you up-to-date at the game. Live scores will constantly be displayed, as well as player introductions, replays, live social media chat, fan photos and much more.

Etihad Stadium is a smoke free venue. Smoking is not permitted in the venue or within the designated smoke-free areas outside the stadium.

UMBRELLAS

Umbrellas are permitted to be taken into Etihad however they are not permitted to be raised. With its retractable roof, football matches will never be subject to bad weather at Etihad.

There are three field umpires, four boundary umpires and two goal umpires for an AFL game.

WHITTEN OVAL

Formally known as the Western Oval, Whitten Oval is the headquarters for the Western Bulldogs training and administration. The last AFL game to be played at Whitten Oval was in 1997 against the West Coast Eagles.  

WOOFER

W oofer is the official mascot of the Western Bulldogs. Woofer ‘dog’ Whitten is named after club legend Ted Whitten. He is a strong, muscular bulldog and is extremely energetic.
