First Bounce“The Western Bulldogs provide a helping hand”

In true community spirit, the First Bounce program is back for the 2010 AFL Season with the Western Bulldogs once again rewarding our most dedicated fans.

First Bounce is directed at our most loyal fans who are no longer in a financial position to purchase a membership, and are in need of a helping hand. By donating Season Home Game memberships to 10 of our previous members, First Bounce is designed to say thanks and show our appreciation to those members who still manage to support the Red, White and Blue.

In 2009 First Bounce was able to bring happiness into the lives of 2 dedicated Western Bulldogs supporters Joe and Jane Baldacchino.

From a devastating house fire in early 2009, Joe and Jane tragically lost both their house and everything they owned. Not only did the grief of losing their house and personal belongings hit hard, but their ability to enjoy simple luxuries such as watching their beloved Bulldogs on game day became impossible. After the Club was notified by a family member that they could not afford to renew their 2009 memberships, the Western Bulldogs, through the First Bounce program, were able to offer both Joe and Jane a complimentary 2009 Season membership and invited them to the Whitten Oval to watch Team training and to meet the players.  "We are so grateful to have been donated Memberships for Season 2009 and to also have the opportunity to meet the Players.  This has really helped us through the pain of losing our home and was also a great opportunity to spend time with the family".

*All requests must include an explanation of why the ‘First Bounce Program’ is appropriate and the situation the family or individual is facing. The Western Bulldogs will only reply to successful applicants.  By particpating in the program you authorise the Western Bulldogs to use your story and/or any photographs for future promotional purposes.
