Game Day

Junior Captain of the Day

Junior Captain of the Day:

JDRF are a great community partner of the Western Bulldogs and to show the strength of the support between both organisations the Junior Captain of the Day program was devised to offer a money can’t buy experience for youth ambassadors of JDRF. Junior Captain of the Day is a newly devised program that the Western Bulldogs launched in 2008.

The program provides the opportunity for a JDRF youth ambassador to walk alongside Western Bulldogs Captain Brad Johnson as the ‘Junior Captain of the Day’ at every Western Bulldogs Home Game. The Junior Captain of the Day will be inside the dressing room pre-game, run out onto the field of play with the team, burst through the banner and complete the warm up lap with the team. The Junior Captain of the Day then accompanies Brad Johnson to the centre square and take part in the official tossing of the coin.

Upon completion of the official pre match operations, the Junior Captain of the Day will have the opportunity to watch the Western Bulldogs match from level one reserved seating within Telstra Dome. Tickets will also be supplied for an additional 3 persons to share the day with this nominated child.

All Junior Captains of the Day will receive a full Western Bulldogs Playing Outfit, including Guernsey, Shorts, Socks and Boots and will also receive a framed photo to commemorate their special day.
