Hall of Fame

Our football club, the Footscray-Western Bulldogs, is a club with a rich and colourful history, thought to have originated earlier than the 1880s.

The club of today has been shaped by the influence and contribution of many people, over many years, from the highly successful VFA era through the VFL years to the AFL, behind the scenes as well as on the playing field. It has also touched and affected the lives of those people.

The history of our club is really a combined history of all the events affecting the club – and all the people who have lived through them and were part of them. Players, coaches, training staff, administrative personnel, members and supporters are all part of that rich and colourful history.

The Footscray-Western Bulldogs Hall of Fame aims to recognise and honour those people whose involvement and contribution has been significant and memorable. We extend our congratulations to our inaugural inductees and thank them for their valuable contributions.
