Season in short:

After returning from injury for Williamstown, Addison broke into the Bulldogs side in round six and played 12 of the remaining 17 games of the season. His move forward paid dividends for the side with the 26-year-old contributing four goals and four forward-half tackles in the round nine victory over St Kilda. While injury and form slumps cost him a full season, the Sydneysider provided a lead-up target when in the team. Addison kicked 12 goals overall and registered a score in every one of his 2013 matches.

Stat that mattered:

A more permanent shift into the forward line was largely successful for Addison, kicking five more goals than his previous best in 2013. The 26-year-old had the third most marks inside 50s for the Bulldogs during the season with a return of 12 goals and 11 behinds.

What they said:

“Our forward line’s got a little bit of a different mix to it this week, great to see Dylan Addison come back into the team. He’s gone back to Williamstown and played a significant role there for us and thoroughly deserves his opportunity back in the senior side.”

- Assistant Coach Shannon Grant, round nine team selection

Pre-season focus:

Addison’s versatility is a valuable asset, with the utility able to play comfortably at both ends of the ground. Continuing to develop his forward craft will be of benefit to the 26-year-old.
