The long-awaited return of Jarrad Grant is fast approaching, with the dynamic forward named in the Western Bulldogs side set to do battle with the Brisbane Lions on Saturday.

The sole change to last week’s Bulldogs team, the 24-year-old will assume his position in the forward line for the first time this season, after sustaining a foot injury in January.

Using his athleticism and creativity, the versatile tall will add another dimension to the Club’s forward six.

Assistant Coach Shannon Grant said the 24-year-old’s inclusion comes after a number of promising performances in the VFL.

“He’s been playing quite well now for a couple of weeks in the VFL,” Shannon Grant said.

“He’s come off an extended break with the injury that he had.

“He’s starting to get the form and the work rate back that we know he has to be able to play at AFL level week in, week out.”
