Forward pressure will be pivotal against Collingwood on Sunday, as Koby Stevens looks to help shut down the Magpies’ run and carry out of defence.

The 22-year-old said Collingwood will prove a formidable opponent after examining their past month’s form during the week.

“We [did] our review on them yesterday and they are a great side and they are traveling well,” Stevens said.

Stevens said the Bulldogs will need to defend well across the entire ground and for the entire game to be within striking distance at the end.

“We’ve had a pretty good review of it – we sat down yesterday and went through it all, Melbourne did a good job of not letting them score,” he said.

“They have great runners off their halfback line so that is going to be the challenge for us.”

Consistency of effort has been a focal point at the kennel this week and the Bulldogs will be mindful of improving in that area on Sunday.

“It’s something that we look at and review through the week and something we are trying to get a lot better at,” he said.
