Tom Liberatore continues to hold firm inside the top ten of the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year award after claiming another five votes for his performance against Geelong on Sunday.

Despite the Bulldogs' 13-point loss to the Cats, both Liberatore and captain Ryan Griffen were amongst the votes allocated by Senior Coaches Brendan McCartney and Chris Scott, both receiving five each.

Liberatore was a dominant figure for the Bulldogs, amassing 32 touches, seven tackles, five inside 50s and 12 clearances.

The Bulldogs skipper was equally imposing on the contest collecting 32 possessions and six tackles, as well as earning himself a Hungry Jacks Goal of the Year nomination for his third quarter effort.

Liberatore sits in equal eighth place on the award leaderboard with seven games remaining in the 2014 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

At the conclusion of each game of the AFL Premiership Season, the two senior coaches directly involved cast votes for the best on ground on a five, four, three, two, and one vote basis.

Geelong’s 150 gamer Harry Taylor topped the list for Sunday's round 16 match receiving eight votes, following his 23 disposal, 11 mark performance marshalling the Cats’ back six.
