Bulldogs legend John Schultz and President Peter Gordon launched the second volume of the club’s Historic Player Register Book at Victoria University Whitten Oval last Friday.

The launch – attended by over 170 past players and their families – paid tribute to the 60 contributors of volume two which represents our past players from the VFA era to modern day including Hall of Fame members, Norm Ware, Wally Donald, Kelvin Templeton, Tony Liberatore, Simon Beasley and Scott Wynd.

Some household names made important contributions to the book with Liberatore, Wallis and Cordy familiar figures from recent times, while Michael Talia’s great-grandfather Arthur Stevens is featured in the 1925 to 1940’s era.

A small group of very special life members who have made a significant contribution to the club, Ben Bradley, Irene Chatfield and Allan Jackson were also presented with a special copy of their story at the launch.

Schultz has been a key driver behind the book with the support of the Forever Foundation.

Proceeds from the book will contribute to assisting future publications and can be purchased for $69.96 from the Bulldogs Shop in-store and online.
