After an impressive VFL finals series and an elevation to the senior list at the end of 2014, Lin Jong has continued to find improvement over the pre-season.

The midfielder, known for his speed and power, has put in a solid summer and teammate and friend Shane Biggs says Jong’s hard work is not going unnoticed.

“He’s definitely impressed everyone and definitely his teammates.”

After being hampered by injury in 2013, Jong found form in the VFL in 2014, which resulted in six appearances with the senior side.

His best performance for the year came in Footscray’s preliminary final win, collecting 28 disposals, and backing it up the following week in the grand final, coming close to a best on ground performance.

The midfielder has made the most of a gruelling pre-season and is seeing results that are exciting those around him.

“I love watching him, he’s really electric and he’s got some real upside.”

Jong will be looking to add to his career tally of 10 games this year, and if pre-season form is any indication, the 21-year-old is in the best position possible to do so.
