Josh Wallis will get his first taste of VFL football this weekend when he lines up for Footscray on Sunday.

Wallis, who played with St Bernard’s and the Calder Cannons in 2014, is the son of former Bulldog great Steve Wallis, and son of Dogs midfielder Mitch.

Wallis has been named on an extended bench ahead of the Sunday afternoon match against Casey at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

Footscray co-captain Jordan Russell will look to continue his good form from last week, after collecting 21 touches from half-back, as will AFL-listed Lachie Hunter, who finished with 25 disposals in Footscray’s round one loss to Box Hill last week.
