Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bulldogs each week exclusive to westernbulldogs.com.au.

LAST WEEK

What a win! That was one of my highlights of the year so far. Well done Doggies!

With 143 Fantasy points from 32 disposals, Liam Picken has been a shining light for the 1153 coaches to have him in the back line. He is averaging 91.6 across the first five games of the season and will make some more coin this week with a breakeven of just 21. It’s not too late to jump on at $447K if you need a defender.

Luke Dahlhaus has now scored five Fantasy tons in a row, equal with Jordan Lewis. He can be the sole player after round six as Lewis has been suspended. Now up to $550K, as a forward, Dahlhaus could possibly be a top 3-6 available in that position. Get on!

TOP 5 SCORERS V SYDNEY SWANS

  1.        143 – Liam Picken (DEF, $447,000)
  2.        103 – Luke Dahlhaus (FWD, $550,000)
  3.        103 – Marcus Bontempelli (FWD/MID, $492,000)
  4.        102 – Koby Stevens (MID, $397,000)
  5.        84 – Matthew Boyd (MID, $650,000)

ON THE RADAR

The Bont is still on the rise. Marcus Bontempelli has a breakeven of 60 and is owned by over half of the competition now. He is averaging 106.5 and at the moment, he can’t do any wrong.

Putting the vest behind him in round four, Mitch Honeychurch bounced back with a score of 80 to make $15K this week. He still has a very low breakeven of 36 and is worth holding onto for a few weeks yet.

WHAT’S COMING UP

I’ve hinted at it the last couple of weeks, but we now have official confirmation that Matthew Boyd will add Fantasy defender status on Wednesday morning. He is now a must-have in our backlines and if you have Luke Hodge, then trading to the veteran Bulldog will be a great move.

It was also revealed that Dahlhaus will become a MID/FWD. While this is huge as you should play him in your forward line, the flexibility he gains by becoming a dual position player is extremely valuable; especially over bye rounds.

The Dogs previously met the Saints in round 20 last year for a 23 point win. Only one player scored over 100 points in the match, however Boyd is projected to knock up 101 by Fantasy Coach. I would like to back in Dahlhaus to go six in a row as well!
