Six Bulldogs enjoyed successful returns from injury while the Club has emerged unscathed from the weekend’s football action.

Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe said it was satisfying to see no major injury concerns out of the Fremantle match.

“We got through the game relatively unscathed and we’ve certainly got some sore bodies because it was a physical encounter but things are looking good for this week.”

Matthew Boyd, Mitch Wallis and Lin Jong all returned through the senior side on Sunday and Lowe said their return was a positive one.

“It’s really pleasing to welcome those guys back from injury and get them involved in another game.

“Certainly they’ll be better for another run and getting another game under their belt, it was good to have them back.”

Zaine Cordy and Caleb Daniel both played their first games for the Club with Footscray at VFL level after extended periods on the sideline, while Sam Darley was also part of Footscray’s victory after a hamstring injury had kept him off the field.

“It was great to welcome Zaine who obviously hasn’t had a game for the Club yet and to get him out for VFL was really pleasing and he played well.

“It was certainly good to get (Caleb) past his knee injury and to see him back playing some footy, and Sam Darley after a hamstring injury, it’s great to have him back on the track and they all played their part in a good win.”
