Footscray coach Ashley Hansen says his side have learned from their loss to Collingwood in round three and will be focused on taking away four points against Frankston on Sunday.

The Bulldogs will head into the round seven match as favourites against the winless Dolphins but Hansen says they must not become complacent.

VFL TEAMS: View the side that will take on Frankston on Sunday afternoon.

“Frankston are certainly competitive down there and last time we were probably complacent against Collingwood we got rolled early.

“We’ve learned some lessons from early in the year on how to deal with it, it’s up to the boys to focus on what they’re doing.”

After a huge 146-point win against North Ballarat last week, the Bulldogs will look to make it three wins in a row and Hansen’s message to his side has been clear.

“The discipline and commitment to stick to individual roles and the style of play that we want to execute was evident last week, particularly in the second half when we had control.

“We have to keep building upon our game, there’s always something we can add or improve on and hopefully we can back up another performance like last week.”

The Bulldogs will field a strong side with 15 AFL-listed players named in the squad for Sunday’s match.

“It’s obviously a strength of the Club, the more players we have playing every weekend and the more we have to choose from, it keeps us healthy.

“Also for that continuity of performance, to have guys playing together each week and developing as a unit is important each week too.”

One of the 15 is Matt Fuller, who returns from injury for his first match of 2015.

“Obviously he’s had a challenging first year with a shoulder injury and then a quad later in the pre-season when he was travelling well.

“Matt is another AFL-listed player that will strengthen our side on Sunday.”
