The Western Bulldogs will approach their match with North Melbourne in round 22 full of enthusiasm, says midfielder Lin Jong.

Despite coming off a loss to West Coast on the weekend, Jong says his side won’t be disheartened by the result and have quickly shifted their focus.

“Our game yesterday won’t affect our enthusiasm going forward so we’re just really looking forward to the challenge again,” said Jong, speaking with Crocmedia’s Sportsday program on Monday night.

Although a disappointing result for the Dogs, they were competitive for much of three quarters.

Jong said the Bulldogs will still take those positives out of the match when they review it and take that into their match with the Kangaroos.

“We’ll obviously review the game and learn from it, see what we did well.

“Then after that focus on recovery as well, coming off a six-day break with travel as well, so get recovery in and then get the main session in on Thursday and then focus our minds towards North Melbourne.”

That enthusiasm stems from the coach says Jong, with Beveridge known for his positivity with his playing group.

“Obviously when we’re not doing things well or right he’s there to tell us, but for me personally, he’s very encouraging.

“He’ll tell me when I’m doing something wrong and I’ll accept it but he knows how to say it well and knows how certain guys react well to certain feedback.”

The Bulldogs will return to their home ground at Etihad Stadium on Saturday but will face an in-form North Melbourne coming off a win against ladder-leaders Fremantle.

“It helps playing under a roof sometimes, where the quick ball movement can complement the way we play so it comes in handy.”
