The AFL will this week release documentary The Chosen Few 2, a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of the AFL captains.

Western Bulldogs captain Robert Murphy will feature in the series, which takes viewers inside the hearts and minds of the AFL’s leaders.

Broadcast on Channel 7 during AFL Grand Final Week, the series follows on from the critically-acclaimed 2014 documentary on the AFL coaches.

The series, produced by Peter Dickson, follows past and present AFL captains over a 10-month period, produced from more than 30 interviews and 100 hours of footage.

The Chosen Few 2 illustrates what it takes to reach the pinnacle of leadership at the elite level of Australia’s Game.

With unprecedented behind the scenes access, including never before seen on-field vision and audio, The Chosen Few 2, allows viewers the ability to witness first-hand the human side of the AFL captains.

The Chosen Few 2 features interviews and behind the scenes access with the following past and present AFL captains including their families:  Matthew Pavlich, Nick Riewoldt, Joel Selwood, Travis Boak, Tom Rockliff, Trent Cotchin, Bob Murphy, Taylor Walker, Jobe Watson, Callan Ward, Phil Davis, Marc Murphy, Scott Pendlebury, Luke Hodge, Nathan Jones, Andrew Swallow, Shannon Hurn, Jarrad McVeigh, Kieren Jack, Stephen Kernahan, Wayne Carey, Paul Kelly and Michael Voss.
