Jed Adcock said the defensive effort of the Bulldogs in Friday night’s clash against league-leaders North Melbourne was the key takeaway for the group after reviewing the match.

Talking to Sports Day Radio on Monday, Adcock said to constrain the Roos to half their average score from the first five rounds of the season, was an achievement not to be underestimated.

“Our defence has been really strong.

“To keep them to 61, I think they’ve been averaging 123, that was a real positive for us to know that our defensive systems are really working.”

Adcock also discussed:

          -  Lachie Hunter’s blistering start to the season,

          -  The team’s delivery to the forwards,

          -  Covering the injuries to key playmakers, and more.
