The Western Bulldogs and Collingwood Football Clubs will this Sunday play off for the annual Robert Rose Cup, proudly supported by Slater and Gordon.

The Robert Rose Cup raises awareness for people living with disabilities, and has been sponsored by Slater and Gordon since 2013.

It was named in honour of former Footscray and Collingwood player Robert Rose and was first introduced in 2007.

The match also raises awareness and funds for the Robert Rose Foundation, which supports Victorians with spinal cord injuries and honours Rose who tragically became a quadriplegic after a car accident in 1974.

The player judged best afield in Sunday’s match will be awarded the Sutton-Rose medal, named after Club legends Charlie Sutton (Footscray and Bob Rose (Collingwood).

The Bulldogs took home last year’s Robert Rose Cup, with Lachie Hunter awarded the Sutton-Rose medal.

This year the medal will be voted on by Nick Maxwell, Cameron Ling and Emma Quayle.
