The Bulldogs have had their fair share of thrilling finishes in season 2016, and in a sign of the team’s growing resolve, they’re finding a way to finish on top.

Fighting back from three goals down in Friday night’s clash against Collingwood, the Bulldogs secured their third win of less than a goal’s margin for the season.

Since going down to reigning premiers Hawthorn by less than a kick in round three, the Bulldogs have prevailed in close encounters against the Swans, Power and now Magpies.

“We believe we can win the tight ones,” Bulldogs ruckman Jordan Roughead told Triple M radio.

“Our game is all about… being strong in the midfield, and helping our defenders as much as we can.”

“Going into the last few minutes (on Friday night) was about doing what we can to help the defence.”

The desperation was evident in the final minutes, with both sides throwing themselves at the contest.

“It was chaotic, the runner was telling us how long was left,” Liam Picken told ABC Grandtsand post match.

“We’ve never seen thirty seconds like it, we knew we just had to grit our teeth.”

“When the siren went, it was great.”
