The Western Bulldogs will start their 2016 Toyota AFL Finals campaign on the road, fixtured to play the West Coast Eagles in an Elimination Final.

Scheduled for Thursday night at Domain Stadium, the sixth placed Eagles and seventh placed Bulldogs will go head-to-head under lights starting at 6:10pm local time (8:10pm AEST).

The Sydney derby will headline the opening weekend of the finals, with Greater Western Sydney facing cross-town foes and minor premiers the Sydney Swans in the first qualifying final.

Adelaide's upset loss to West Coast on Friday night has cost the Crows the double chance.

The Crows will face North Melbourne, beaten by the Giants on Saturday night, in the first elimination final.
