Midfielder Lin Jong will start back running on Wednesday, with his rehabilitation from collarbone surgery last Friday already underway.

Jong came from the field in last Thursday’s elimination final against the West Coast Eagles, after sustaining a broken collarbone in a tackle during the second quarter.

General Manager, Football Graham Lowe told BulldogsTV little time was wasted in booking the 23-year-old midfielder in for surgery.

“We’ve had surgical fixation on Friday, he commenced his rehabilitation yesterday, and he’ll be back running on Wednesday.”

The 23-year-old’s quick commencement of his rehabilitation program leaves a glimmer of hope that his season isn’t over, should the Bulldogs go the distance in their finals campaign.

Meanwhile, the Club has confirmed that defender Marcus Adams has undergone post season shoulder surgery, after a foot injury saw his 2016 campaign come to a premature end.

“We took a conservative approach to Marcus Adams’ foot injury, so decided to rule him out for the rest of the season,” Lowe said.

“We’ve taken the opportunity to organize shoulder surgery for him, which was completed last week.”
