Three Western Bulldogs have been named in the 2017 Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All-Australian Squad, announced today.

Ellie Blackburn, Emma Kearney and Hannah Scott have all been included in the squad of 40.

The trio played all seven matches of the inaugural AFLW season, with Blackburn and Kearney prolific ball-winners throughout. Kearney finished the competition with an average of 21.4 disposals per game, with Blackburn averaging 19.4, only Melbourne's Daisy Pearce and Karen Paxman averaged more.

Blackburn also kicked six goals, ranked eighth in the competition.

Hannah Scott also enjoyed a fine season with the Bulldogs, averaging 12.7 possessions a game with a season-high of 20 against Adelaide in round 2.

The final team of 22 players will be announced at the W Awards on Tuesday, March 28, recognising the best individual performances in each position from the inaugural NAB AFL Women’s Competition.
