The preseason portion of the Western Bulldogs’ men’s health program, Sons of the West, wrapped up with a bang last week, with an exclusive ‘Inside the Club’ event held at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

Over 300 men were invited to attend as a reward for having completed the first of three Sons of the West programs planned for 2017.

Six members of the Bulldogs football department shared their expertise on a range of topics, from scouting, sports science, exercise, diet and psychology.

But it wasn’t just a night of sitting and listening as men were treated to a free exercise session on Whitten Oval under the supervision of Victoria University students and SOTW exercise physiologists and personal trainers.

This year’s Preseason Program saw over 600 men from Western Victoria take part in weekly sessions on physical education and a range of exercises.

Sons of the West Preseason is now complete, with the 10-week Premiership Season kicking off in May.

Premiership Season timetables will be provided shortly, and everyone is welcome.
