Josh Prudden and Clay Smith are set to make their return from injury this Saturday, named in Footscray’s side to take on the Casey Demons at Casey Fields.

The pair are among 20 AFL-listed Bulldogs named in the extended Footscray squad. That number will be reduced to 16 once the final interchange is named for the AFL side on Friday afternoon.

Prudden has spent a recent stint on the sidelines recovering from a hamstring injury, while Clay Smitg returns from a calf strain.

The fifth placed Bulldogs and eighth placed Demons have both played eight games this VFL season, with Footscray holding a superior 5-3 record to Casey’s 4-4.

The Bulldogs enter the Saturday night contest on the back of a thrilling come-from-behind four-point win over Essendon last Friday night, while Casey were 19-point victors over Collingwood at home.
