In a season restricted by knee and hamstring injuries, Stringer still managed to boot 24 goals in 16 games while shifting between forward and the midfield.

He earned a maximum ten votes from the coaches in the AFLCA voting for his 15 disposal, five goal performance against the Saints in Round 10.

Stringer missed the final match of the year against Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium with a hamstring injury sustained in the loss to Port Adelaide the week prior.

Stat that mattered:

Stringer was the Club’s leading goal-kicker, tying with Liam Picken on 24 goals.
