The latest group of AFLW players to wear the red, white and blue have been given the guernsey numbers they’ll wear during the 2018, with number one overall pick Isabel Huntington wearing the No. 9 in her first season of football.

The Bulldogs took two first round selections into the 2017 NAB  AFLW Draft, also taking 18-year-old Melbourne Boomers star Monique Conti with pick four, who’ll wear the No. 8 guernsey.

Fellow draftees Jenna Bruton (11), Daria Banister (20), Emma Mackie (25) have also been handed their numbers, as have Rookie Draft selections Naomi Ferres (16), Kim Rennie (24) and Bonnie Toogood (28).

Elevated Rookie Aisling Utri will wear the number 23.

Former Demons Jess Anderson and Deanna Berry were secured as free agents back in May and will wear numbers 26 and 7 respectively, while West Australian defender Rachel Ashely will wear 15.

The Western Bulldogs AFLW team returned for pre-season training on November 20 and will open the 2018 season against Fremantle at VU Whitten Oval on Sunday, February 4.

Fans are invited to watch the AFLW and AFL teams train at a Christmas Open Training Session on Saturday, 16 December.  Click here for details.
