Footscray’s defensive stocks will be bolstered by the return of defenders Dale Morris and Marcus Adams against Werribee on Sunday.

Morris, who suffered a partial ACL tear in February, and Adams, who suffered ligament damage to his ankle on the eve of round one, passed their final fitness hurdles this week and will suit up for the first time this season.

The ‘Scray currently sit at ninth on the VFL ladder with a 2-3 record. While Werribee are placed 13th, with one win from five matches.

Werribee and Footscray will again do battle for the HealthWest Cup.

Now in its fourth year, the cup is a joint initiative between the two clubs, Western Health, and Mercy Health and has been created to raise awareness of the vital medical services being delivered across Melbourne’s west.

Footscray currently hold the Cup, following a 24-point victory over the Tigers in Round 10, 2017.

The match gets underway at Avalon Airport Oval from 2.00pm.
