Freedom in a Cage co-host Adi Brown has proposed reshaping their search for the greatest Bulldog grab of all time, and his re-think has been sparked by a text message from ‘Cage favourite, Rohan Smith.

Last week, the fans were offered a pair of semi-final match-ups:

Easton Wood’s round 1, 2016 hanger against Fremantle up against Jordan Roughead’s late-game pack mark from the 2016 Grand Final; and Chris Grant’s spectacular mark over the entire Dockers team in round 11, 2002 vs. Liam Picken’s slow-motion rise, also from the 2016 Grand Final.

Now, the search has been recast and we’ll be running two different competitions  - Wood v Grant to establish who took the greatest hanger, and Liam Picken and Jordan Roughead’s Grand Final grabs will be pitted against each other in a ‘pivotal-off’.

Smith’s argument was that while Grant and Wood’s marks are better aesthetically, because of the context of the others, you can’t go past them, and Brown agreed.

“So, he's got a point,” he said.  “I'm saying the competition is wrong.”

“The genesis of this competition was wrong in the first place because I thought context was important, that you could match up a mark in a Grand Final vs a spectacular high mark.”

Murphy was equal parts bemused and tickled.

“I feel like you got one message from a bloke who wore a white turtle neck jumper in the nineties and you've buckled,” he laughed.  “It's the tail wagging the Dog!”

But Brown was not to be swayed.

“I think we need to start the competition again, just from the Semi-Final stage.  I think we should now match up...  There's the greatest Bulldogs mark for a pivotal moment, and the greatest Bulldogs 'speccy'.”

So here it is - cast your vote below.  The winners will be announced in the final episode of the 2018 season next Thursday.
