In a 277 game AFL career, Nathan Eagleton built a reputation for his resilience and durability.

Recruited as a zone selection for Port Adelaide’s inaugural season in 1997, Eagleton played 56 games for the Power between 1997-1999.

Ahead of the 2000 season, Eagleton was traded to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for Brett Montgomery and a second-round draft selection (pick 28, later used by the Power to recruit Brent Guerra).

As he had for most of his time at Port Adelaide, Eagleton became a permanent feature of the Dogs' line-up.

He was a key member of the Bulldogs’ side during consecutive finals campaigns between 2008-2010, before hanging up the boots after the Dogs lost the 2010 Preliminary Final to St Kilda.

Eagleton finished his career having played 221 games and booting 186 goals with the Bulldogs (277 games in total) across 14 seasons in the AFL.
