Mitch Wallis is the latest Bulldog to become a Victoria University graduate, after he received his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) on Wednesday.

A hard worker on and off the field, the 26-year-old has been a part of the Elite Student Athletes program for the past six years, while juggling the intense demands of football.

Wallis joins team-mate and captain Easton Wood as a VU graduate, after he received a Bachelor of Sport Science degree in 2016 as part of the same program.

Wallis told westernbulldogs.com.au that he looks forward to building on his degree throughout his football career and in the future.

“It’s really exciting to achieve this milestone during my football career after dedicating so much time to both football and study,” Wallis said.

“The support I’ve received from the Club, as well as the staff at Victoria University, has really helped me manage the demands of study and football over the past six years.

“Obviously, I understand that it’s important to prepare for a future outside of football, which is one of the main reasons I decided to study at Victoria University throughout my football career.”

Wallis follows in the footsteps of his father Steve, who completed the same degree with Victoria University in 1990, one year after he captained the Club.
