Crameri is a big-bodied forward who has great endurance and bursts of pace. Traded to the Bulldogs from Essendon in the 2013 offseason, Crameri plays predominantly in the attacking half but can also push up the ground

Season in short:

Despite struggling with inconsistency in the early stages of 2015, and spending time in the VFL between rounds 11 and 15, Crameri found form in the latter part of the season.

He finished with 17 home and away games and a spot in the Dogs’ elimination final side, averaging 15 disposals and three marks for the year.

Crameri kicked 32 goals, linking up with Jake Stringer and Tory Dickson to form a threatening forward structure.

He led the Dogs to an 87-point win in round 18, with a best-on-ground performance against his old club.

Crameri collected 19 disposals, five marks, four tackles and seven goals that day.

Stat that mattered:

Crameri kicked a career-high seven goals in round 18, and collected a career-high 22 disposals in round one.

What they said:

“Initially it was probably a little bit inconsistent and I had to work through a couple of injuries in the middle of the year. Towards the end of the year, I became a lot better and became a consistent player for the team and luckily we were also playing some good football as well. There were a few adjustments to playing a new role… I enjoyed playing up on the ball and up higher on the wing, hopefully I can do it again next year and have a good impact.” – Stewart Crameri, September 2015

“He had some troubles at the start of the year with his consistency, we were seeing patches in games with what he could do and how he could play at the level. But we were really happy with his second half of the year. He really put defences on edge with his power running and his strength in the contest. He’s a really hard match up for the opposition and he got really consistent in the back half of the year and he was really prominent for us, on the scoreboard but getting up on wings as well and using that power running that he’s got.” – Daniel Giansiracusa (Western Bulldogs Assistant Coach), September 2015

Season in short:

The Bulldogs’ boom recruit of the 2013 trade period, Stewart Crameri didn’t miss a game in his first year at Whitten Oval, averaging just shy of 14 disposals, four marks and two goals per game.

The 26 year-old forward topped the Bulldogs’ goal-kicking list with 37, his most prolific individual season haul at senior level, including the three seasons prior at Essendon in which he led the Club’s goal-kicking.

The stat that mattered:

Crameri led the Dogs’ goal-kicking list with 37, including amassing four goal hauls in four separate matches (Rd4 v GWS, Rd5 v Carlton, Rd8 v Melbourne, Rd23 v GWS).

What they said:

“It was a good break, but I think I was ready to come back.

“Everyone likes to get into the start of pre-season, looking forward to next year.

“New players, new staff, new coach, and I think it is exciting for the guys coming in, and you can see that with how they’re training at the moment.” – Stewart Crameri, November 2014
