Round 18 is another home game for the Bulldogs as they prepare to meet North Melbourne for the second time this Season at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon (2:10pm).

The last time these teams met North Melbourne’s full back Scott Thompson made it his mission throughout the match to get under Barry Hall’s skin. The match made headlines as Hall eventually put Thompson in a headlock which resulted in an on-field melee and consequently five reports.

Despite the incident Senior Coach Rodney Eade was strong in defending his team, whom he said were victims of “cheap shots off the ball. I thought our discipline and our character showed through and that’s why we had such a big win,” Eade said.
The final result was evidence of the Bulldogs domination on the day, the boys of the Red, White and Blue finishing 70 point victors (127 - 57).

So after all of the action last time fans should expect a spectacle this weekend as North look for their 9th win for the Season and a chance to keep their finals hopes alive.

This week selection will again be complicated for the match committee with last Sunday’s win perhaps the Dogs best effort for the Season, both knocking Fremantle out of fourth position and showing the fast moving and skilled play Bulldogs fans have come to enjoy in recent years.

The team showed in their impressive performance that they were just that, a team, united and will be a true force to be reckoned with in the remaining rounds of the 2010 Season.
