They’ve played 782 games and kicked 745 goals, but Doug Hawkins and Brent Harvey will take to the field once again for a special cause this Friday.

Hawkins and Harvey will feature in the ‘Legends Kick for the Kids’, taking aim at the big sticks to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.

The Bulldogs and Kangaroos will face off in the annual Good Friday Superclash at Marvel Stadium, playing for more than the premiership points.

Hawkins experienced a fantastic 18-year career that included 329 games for Footscray, winning a Charles Sutton Medal and captaining the Club for four seasons.

Harvey’s career spanned 21 seasons, and he booted 518 majors.

It will be the first time Hawkins will try his luck for the kids, with Harvey competing last season against Bulldogs great Brad Johnson.

The showdown will take place at half-time, with each goal resulting in a set amount donation to the Appeal.
