Scans have confirmed a broken arm for Bulldogs rookie Brett Goodes, who will be sidelined for up to two months.

Goodes came from the field in the last quarter, after his right arm collided with the leg of an opponent as he attempted to collect a ground ball.

Western Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe told BulldogsTV that Goodes will undergo surgery later in the week to set the broken bone in his lower arm.

“It was a disappointing afternoon for Brett, he’s got a fracture to his right ulna,” Lowe said.

“Surgical intervention will be required and he’s going to get that done over the next couple of days.

“We expect him back in six to eight weeks.”

Meanwhile, Matthew Fuller has returned to full training as he continues to build-up his rehabilitation from a quad injury, while defender Dale Morris continues to make good strides in his recovery from a pectoral muscle and is expected to return after the bye.
