The Western Bulldogs are one of only three AFL Clubs to record double-digit member growth in 2015.

The Western Bulldogs have achieved the second-highest level of membership growth of any AFL club in 2015, confirmed by the league’s release of official membership figures on Wednesday morning.

One of just three clubs to achieve double digit growth, the Bulldogs’ membership increase of 11.69% sits behind Sydney (21.71%) and ahead of Port Adelaide (10.39%).

The Bulldogs’ membership growth is the largest of any Victorian Club.

By the AFL’s July 31 membership sales deadline, the Western Bulldogs reached a record total of 35,222 memberships, and increase of 3,684 on 2014’s final tally of 31,538.

With home games still to be played in August, Bulldogs membership sales have continued this month with the total currently standing at 36,152.

2015 Memberships are still available until 5:00pm 31 August, in the countdown to September. To join today, call 1300 46 36 47 or visit

The Bulldogs previous membership record was set in 2010, with the tally of 34,893 coming on the back of three successive preliminary finals appearances.

15 of the league’s 18 Clubs all posted positive membership growth in 2015, 12 of which recorded their highest all-time tally.

In total, AFL club membership reached 836,136 members nationally in 2015, an increase of 3.93% on last year’s total of 804,480.

That equates to one in 28 Australians holding a membership of one of the AFL’s 18 Clubs.
