The Western Bulldogs have officially pledged their support for the marriage equality campaign.

The Club has released a video in support of the campaign, which features off-field leaders Peter Gordon, Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Gary Kent, AFL players Marcus Bontempelli and Easton Wood and AFLW players Katie Brennan and Ellie Blackburn.

The video reinforces the Club’s key values of inclusiveness, diversity and promoting equality for all people, as well as demonstrating its view that all Australians should be treated equally under the law regarding marriage.

“At the Western Bulldogs we believe equality is a fundamental human right and that marriage should be available to all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity,” said Bulldogs’ CEO Gary Kent.

The Federal Government’s postal vote process for marriage equality is underway, with survey results expected to be released in November.
