The Western Bulldogs have made one change to their line-up for the Round 2 AFLW clash with the Geelong Cats on Saturday night at VU Whitten Oval.

Former Gaelic footballer Aisling McCarthy is set to make her debut for the Bulldogs after being named as an emergency last week, while Belinda Smith has been omitted.

The Bulldogs are coming off a nail-biting win over Adelaide last week, and take on competition newcomers the Cats, who triumphed over Collingwood last week.

22-year-old McCarthy, an Irish native, came to Australia in September last year as part of the Cross Coders program.

She has since impressed on the training track with her power, speed and ball-handling ability, and travelled with the squad for the game in Adelaide last weekend.

On Saturday night the Bulldogs will unveil their 2018 premiership flag in a special pre-game ceremony, which kicks off at 6.25pm.
