Western Bulldogs forward Monique Conti has been named in the 2019 Virgin Australia AFLW All-Australian team.

Announced at the W Awards on Tuesday night, the 19-year-old was named at half-forward in the talented side, alongside league Best and Fairest winner Erin Phillips.

Named in the initial squad in 2018, Conti has now received her first All-Australian team selection after a stellar season where she led the Club’s average disposals (18), contested possessions (11.4) and clearances (four).

Following her selection, Conti told westernbulldogs.com.au that she was humbled by the recognition.

“I’m so grateful to have been recognised alongside a group of incredibly talented athletes,” Conti told westernbulldogs.com.au.

“We saw some really impressive individual performances across this year’s AFLW season, so to be up on stage next to the league’s best players is incredibly rewarding.”

The Western Bulldogs will crown their AFLW Best and Fairest Award winner on Thursday night at Crown Palladium.
