The AFL has today revealed the 2019 NAB AFL Women’s Draft Order, with the Western Bulldogs currently holding picks 6, 24, 30, 47, 62 and 77.

With a second Sign and Trade period opening this morning, the Bulldogs can continue to sign a further nine players (22 total) to their primary list, as well as trade players and/or draft selections.

No further expansion signings can occur.

During the initial Sign and Trade Period, expansion clubs (Gold Coast Suns, Richmond, St Kilda and West Coast Eagles) could sign up to twelve players from 2019 AFLW lists. The Clubs who did not make up the full quota have been provided with priority selections to make up the full twelve signings.

The position of priority selections considered the expansion signings for each club, the players selected via the 17-year-old priority selection and the need for existing clubs to receive draft selections that reflect their 2019 season.

Expansion Clubs will only be permitted to trade a maximum of one priority selection in any round where they have been provided with multiple priority picks.

Due to losing the maximum four players to expansion clubs (Katie Brennan, Selena Karlson, Belinda Smith and Tiarna Ernst), the Bulldogs have received pick 24 as a compensation selection.
