The Footscray Bulldogs have defeated the Werribee Tigers by 11 points, off the back of three goals from Bailey Dale, on Saturday afternoon at VU Whitten Oval.

In a tight contest, the ‘Scray held off a powerful Werribee outfit – keeping them to one goal in the first term and winning every quarter.

Midfielder/forward Nathan Drummond was impressive on debut, booting two goals, collecting 16 disposals and taking four marks, while Pat Lipinski shone once again collecting 30 disposals and taking six marks.

Callum Porter (19 disposals, four marks, three tackles) and Laitham Vandermeer (18 disposals, one goal, four marks) proved vital in the midfield, while Josh Schache enjoyed another solid performance, kicking one goal, taking eight marks and laying one tackle.

Anthony Scott continued his impressive form, laying seven tackles and kicking two goals, alongside Roarke Smith who collected 15 disposals, six tackles and three inside 50’s.

Footscray will take on North Melbourne, next Saturday night at VU Whitten Oval from 7pm.
