Midfielder Tom Liberatore could make a return to football over the next month.

Liberatore hurt his right knee in Saturday night’s win against Carlton, with scans revealing a cartilage injury and clearing him of any ACL or ligament damage.

He underwent surgery on Monday night.

Western Bulldogs medical services manager, Chris Bell said:

“The arthroscopic surgery on Tom’s knee went according to plan,” Bell said.

“He will now undergo a period of rehabilitation to prepare him to return to play, and we anticipate he will be available to return in four-to-six weeks.”
