The Western Bulldogs have fallen to top of the ladder Collingwood by 74-points in Saturday’s VFL Women’s clash at Morwell Recreation Reserve.

The Magpies outscored the visitors in every term, with the Bulldogs sole major coming through Lauren Dundon in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs were kept scoreless in the first quarter, as the home side quickly extended out to a three goal lead at the first break.

A four goal to none second quarter saw Collingwood stretch their lead to 42-point at half time, with the home side dominating proceedings around the ground.

The Bulldogs stepped up their work rate after half time, slowing the Magpies momentum and hitting the scoreboard.

Collingwood came out firing in the final term, with Jamie Lambert kicking the Magpies first of four final quarter goals within the opening minutes of the term, before going on to win 13.5 (83) to 1.3 (9).

The Bulldogs shift focus to next weekend Saturday ( 29 June) back at Victoria University Whitten Oval against Hawthorn, with the first bounce scheduled at 12pm.
