Ball magnet Josh Dunkley has jumped into the top 15 in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.

Dunkley was one of four players across the competition to claim the perfect 10 votes this round.

His 10 votes against Melbourne takes his season tally to 47 votes, and into 14th spot on the leaderboard.

It’s the third time this season Dunkley has been best on ground in the eyes of both coaches, after picking up 10 votes in wins against Carlton and Brisbane Lions.

Dunkley had a game-high 39 disposals and 15 tackles, plus two goals – the latter returning the lead to his side in the final quarter.

He was one of four Bulldogs among the votes.

Midfielder Lachie Hunter (37 disposals) and defender Taylor Duryea (31 disposals) each picked up seven votes, while Jack Macrae (30 disposals) continued his impressive form to collect three votes.

Two Demons also featured in the voting.

Defender Steven May received two votes, and midfielder Jack Viney earned one.

Despite not polling against the Dees, Bulldogs’ vice-captain Marcus Bontempelli remains in second spot with 70 votes, still eight votes behind Geelong’s Tim Kelly.
