In a thriller at Adcon Stadium, the Western Bulldogs kicked the last three goals of the game to triumph over Collingwood and win through to the 2019 VFLW Grand Final.

Trailing at half time, the Western Bulldogs kicked three goals to none in the second half to secure the win.

Brooke Lochland lead from the front, kicking two goals, giving Bulldogs a spark up forward that helped to overpower the Magpies.

AFLW listed player Naomi Ferres was named in the best on ground for the Bulldogs, showcasing her versatility in the midfield and across half back.

Collingwood pressed early but could only find minor scores before Lochland kicked off proceedings with the first major of the game with a superb snap that gave the Bulldogs a two-point lead at quarter time.

The second quarter saw some end to end action with both sides turning up the pressure. The Magpies were able to find their only goal of the game after a turnover leading to a goal to Chloe Molloy giving Collingwood a six-point lead at the major break.

Lochland brought the Bulldogs back into it after taking a composed mark inside 50 and executing perfectly to level scores in the fifth minute of the third term. Both sides pressed across the remainder of the term but scores remained deadlocked at the final change.

It took 13 minutes for the scores to change, with the crowd building in volume Sophie Molan took a mark in the right pocket and kicked truly to give the Bulldogs a 6-point lead.

Collingwood turned up the heat and continued to test the Bulldogs' backline, but led by co-captain Ashleigh Guest the Bulldogs held out the Magpies and denied them a score in the final quarter.

Nicole McMahon sealed the deal after receiving a 50-metre penalty to score her first VFLW goal from directly in front and put the result beyond doubt.

The Bulldogs must wait until next weekend to find out their VFLW Grand Final opponent.

The 2019 VFLW Grand Final is scheduled for Sunday, 22 September at Ikon Park.
