Star midfielder Jack Macrae has continued his strong season, polling votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award in the Western Bulldogs’ loss to the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.

Macrae racked up 40 disposals – the most of any AFL player in a game this year – to claim two votes.

He was the only Bulldog among the voting.

It marked the sixth consecutive game that Macrae had featured in the votes, taking his season tally to 39.

Brisbane jet Lachie Neale picked up the perfect 10, which takes him to 72 votes at the top of the leaderboard, 22 clear of second-placed Christian Petracca (50).

Dayne Zorko (eight), Eric Hipwood (five), Jarryd Lyons (four) and Zac Bailey (one) also featured among the vote-getters for the Lions this week.
