Western Bulldogs legend Dale Morris is used to thriving under pressure, but he’ll face a fresh challenge when he attempts to escape from ‘Neil’s Wheel’ this Friday morning.

Neil’s Wheel is a fundraiser for the Good Friday Appeal, coordinated with 3AW’s Neil Mitchell program, where participants are locked inside a cabin of the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel while raising money for the Appeal.

The Western Bulldogs will take on North Melbourne in the annual Kick for the Kids match at Marvel Stadium on Friday, April 2.

Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains and defender Taylor Duryea escaped the wheel last year, raising over $30,000 for the Appeal in the process.

This year, Morris will be aiming to raise at least $5000 before he can be released. Donations can be made now, via the Western Bulldogs’ fundraising page.

WHEN IS NEIL’S WHEEL?

Friday, March 12, from 8.30am to 11.30am.  Morris will board the Melbourne Star at 9.30am.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Fundraisers need to raise a minimum of $5000 to be released from the pod on the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Thanks to the generous support of Neil's Wheel participants, The Royal Children's Hospital will soon have access to two new ultrasound machines which will advance the care of patients. The new ultrasound machines will have superior imaging quality, with 3D and 4D scans now possible. This means that procedure times for patients will be reduced and clinicians will have greater visibility into the inner workings of patients.
