Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has received a rebel AFL Goal of the Year nomination for his stunning snap against West Coast.

With nine minutes remaining in their Round 15 clash, the skipper snapped the miraculous major through on his favoured left foot, while running towards the boundary line at full steam.

The goal was his third and final of the afternoon, as the Bulldogs went on to record an emphatic 55-point win at Optus Stadium.
