Steven King has been part of the Bulldogs’ coaching team for the past nine seasons.
King arrived at Whitten Oval from St Kilda at the end of 2011, after a period as the Saints’ ruck/midfield coach.
The former ruckman played 240 AFL games for Geelong and St Kilda. He captained the Cats from 2003-06, featured in their 2007 premiership side and was All Australian in 2000.
King has had responsibilities across multiple areas of the ground in his tenure as an assistant coach.
He started in the role of midfield coach in 2012 and took charge of this area during the 2016 premiership season, before taking over the defensive portfolio from 2017-19.
King was elevated to the role of senior assistant coach ahead of the 2019 season.
